Salmon Avocado Toast Recipe

Who says you can’t enjoy a little bread while you’re on a diet? This rich, creamy, and yummy salmon avocado toast recipe is going to satisfy your bread cravings. Don’t worry, you’re not going to sacrifice your diet for this, because the bread used in this recipe is completely keto diet compliant and low carb.

Of course, if you don’t want to add bread to this hearty meal, you don’t need to add. Just in case you do however, feel like adding bread to this recipe, we will add the directions on how to prepare it below. 

Keto Bread Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of whey protein
  • 2 ½ cups of almond flour 
  • 1 tbsp xantham gum or alternative
  • ½ tsp salt 
  • 3 tsp baking powder 
  • 1 ¼ cups of warm water 

Cooking Procedure: 

  • Mix together all the dry ingredients into a big mixing bowl. 
  • While mixing, slowly add the warm water and stir it thoroughly using a wooden spoon. Add water slowly as you stir the mixture until the dough comes together. 
  • Pour the bread dough into a pan. Make sure to put parchment paper or gluten free cooking spray before putting the bread dough into the pan. 
  • Bake for 20 to 25 minutes at 375°F until the bread is puffy and golden brown in color. You’ll start to see air bubbles on the side just like normal bread. 
  • Remove it from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before preparing. 

Salmon Avocado Toast Ingredients: 

  • 8 oz. smoked salmon 
  • 4 tbsp sour cream 
  • 1 tbsp diced chives 
  • 1 sliced avocado
  • 4 slices of keto sandwich bread
  • 1 tsp salt 
  • 1 tsp fresh cracked pepper 

Salmon Avocado Toast Cooking Procedure:

  • Using a toaster, toast the bread until it’s golden brown. 
  • Layer ¼ the sliced avocado on both sides of the bread. 
  • Top with the salmon on each bread slice. 
  • Include the 1 tbsp of sour cream and chives. 
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste. 

Useful Tips: 

Make sure to only cut slices of bread that you need. Leaving it out in the open and not stored can make it mold faster.
