Grilled Steak Fajitas

Here’s another mexican favorite with an added twist. This simple grilled steak recipe is going to make you want to cook it more for dinner. It’s delicious, packed with flavor and more importantly extremely healthy. 

Ingredients: 

  • 2 tbsp fajita seasoning 
  • 1 large sweet onion 
  • 1 medium halved green pepper 
  • Sliced avocado 
  • Lime wedges 
  • Minced fresh cilantro 
  • 4 whole wheat tortillas 
  • 1 beef top sirloin steak 
  • 1 medium sweet red pepper 
  • 1 tbsp olive oil 

Cooking Procedure: 

  • First, rub the steak thoroughly with the seasoning mix and brush the peppers and onions with oil
  • Grill the vegetables and steak covered on a greased barbecue rack on medium heat. Let it cook for 6 minutes until you’ve reached your desired outcome with the meat and the vegetables have become tender. Remove all ingredients from the grill and let the steak sit for 5 minutes first before slicing. 
  • Cut both the steak and the vegetables into strips and place them on the heated tortilla. If you want, you can top them with the avocado, cilantro and lemon.
