Nothing like a classic recipe but with a modern twist. This simple spaghetti recipe will be great for dinner. Not only your kids will enjoy this but even you! It’s simple, healthy, and easy to prepare.
Ingredients:
- 4 minced cloves of garlic
- 1 tbsp italian seasoning
- 1 can of crushed tomatoes
- 1 pound whole wheat spaghetti
- 2 tsp extra virgin olive oil
- 1 finely chopped large onion
- 1 large finely chopped large carrot
- 1 finely chopped stalk of celery
- ¼ cup chopped flat leaf parsley
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- ½ cup grated parmesan cheese
- ½ tsp salt
Cooking Procedure:
- In a large pot, put in some water and let it boil. Once its already boiling, put in the pasta for 8 minutes or until they are tender. Once done, drain out the water. In a large skillet, heat up the oil over medium heat. Add in the carrot, celery, and onion. Let it cook for 8 minutes until the onions start to become brownish.
- Include the garlic and the seasoning and cook for 30 seconds until they are fragrant. Add in the beef and let it cook for 5 minutes until its no longer pink. After a while, increase the heat to high then stir in the tomatoes. Let it cook for 6 minutes until it starts to thicken. After that, put in the parsley and sprinkle a little bit of salt.
- When serving, serve it with the sauce and sprinkle it with cheese on top.
