Mushroom Pizza with Freshly Picked Herbs

This pizza recipe includes all kinds of cheese and some fresh herbs. This recipe for dinner will definitely make your kids drool. 

Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp each finely chopped oregano, thyme and sprigs for the topping
  • 1 tbsp olive oil 
  • 1 to 2 ounces of crumbled goat cheese 
  • 2 tbsp finely chopped chives 
  • 1 ball best pizza dough 
  • 1 ½ cups of slice mixed mushrooms 
  • Semolina flour or cornmeal
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice 
  • ¾ cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Cooking Procedure: 

  • After preparing the dough, place a pizza stone in the oven and pre heat it to 500 F. if you dont have a pizza stone, you can just preheat your oven. 
  • To prepare the toppings, place olive oil in a skillet to medium high heat. Add in the mushrooms salt and the chopped herbs and let it cook for about 5 minutes. When the mushrooms are soft, start reducing the heat and add the lemon juice. 
  • When the oven is already at its appropriate temperature, dust a pizza peel with the semolina flour or cornmeal. Stretch the dough into a circle then gently put it on the peel. Brush a layer of thin olive oil into the crust then top the pizza dough with cheese, the mushrooms and the crumbles of goat cheese. Garnish it with the thyme sprigs, chives and a sprinkle of salt. 
  • Use the pizza peel to transfer the pizza onto the preheated pizza stone carefully. Let it bake for about 7 minutes in the oven until the cheese is melted and the crust is already brown in color. Once done, slice it into portions and serve right away.
