PowerHouse Protein Parfaits

Have you tried parfaits before? These desserts make an excellent end to a good meal, but what if you can also have it for breakfast? We’ve added a different twist to your parfait by adding some healthy sugars and protein. If you’re on a diet, this will definitely solve your sugar craving. 

Ingredients: 

  • ⅓ cup of honey 
  • 2 cups Kashi go lean crunch cereal 
  • 3 cups plain greek yogurt 
  • 2 cups orange segments 
  • ¼ cup toasted and sliced almonds 
  • 2 tsps grated orange zest 
  • 2 cups fresh raspberries 

Cooking Procedure: 

  • In a large bowl, mix together the orange zest, yogurt and honey. In a parfait glass, layer half of the yogurt mixture then follow the orange segments, cereal, and raspberries. Serve right after. 

Useful Tips: 

You can make as many parfaits as you want for breakfast but make sure to serve it immediately after preparing. This meal has a total of 518 calories, 22g fats, 75g carbohydrates, 15g protein.
