Oatmeal has been a popular breakfast meal for many people over the years. But, what if you can have it with chocolate? This simple recipe is great for your kids too! It’s packed with all kinds of healthy ingredients. It’s delicious, easy to prepare, and great for picky eaters.
Ingredients:
- 2 tsp cocoa powder
- 1 cup milk
- ½ cup old fashioned oats
- Salt
- Chocolate chips (optional)
- Fruit (optional)
- Nuts (optional)
- 2 tsp sugar
Cooking Procedure:
- In a pot, heat up the milk and add in a pinch of salt over medium heat. Stir the milk until it starts to simmer. After it’s simmered, add in the oats, sugar, and the cocoa and mix it together with the milk.
- Let it simmer over low heat until the mixture becomes thick. If you want your oatmeal to be thicker, you’ll have to be consistent with your stirring or add a bit of water. Cover the pot with a lid and let it sit for about 5 minutes – this allows the oatmeal to cook better.
- Once done, garnish with fruits, chocolate chips, or nuts if you want.
