Healthy Chicken Parmesan

Are you craving for an Italian comfort food? Try this gluten-free and grain-free healthy baked chicken parmesan breaded with almond flour. It is amazingly delicious and will surely satisfy your cravings. This food is a good source of Protein and Calcium. Chicken Parmesan may seem pretty deluxe, it’s really one of the easiest baked chicken recipes to produce. This can be made easily at home. This recipe can be done in 45 minutes with 4 servings made. Approximately 20 minutes prepping time and 25 minutes cooking time.

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb organic boneless skinless chicken breast
  • 1 egg
  • 3/4 cup almond meal
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup marinara (homemade or jarred)
  • 1/4 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese

Cooking Procedure:

  1. Preheat oven to 400° F.
  2. Mix almond meal, paprika, cayenne, garlic, sea salt and black pepper in a small bowl. Stir to combine.
  3. Whisk an egg into another shallow bowl.
  4. Place the coated chicken on a parchment paper propped baking pan, or on a wire rack that fits on a baking sheet. The wire rack is set to create a crisper texture.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes, flip the chicken every 15 minutes. The chicken should be golden brown when finished and thoroughly cooked through.
  6. When cooked, top each chicken breast with 2-3 tablespoons of marinara and 2 teaspoons of parmesan cheese. Return the chicken to the oven and bake for 5-10 minutes until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted. Serve with broccoli or some other green
    veggie.
